Spotting a Royal Bengal Tiger in the wild is an unforgettable experience that draws tourists from around the globe to India. With the rising popularity of travel and wildlife photography among young urban Indians, lesser-known tiger reserves are beginning to rival the country’s more famous parks, which include 52 tiger reserves in total. “Seeing a tiger in its natural habitat is a thrilling experience,” says wildlife photographer Joydeep Mondal, founder of Wildchasers India, which offers bespoke wildlife experiences. “Luxury hotels now provide a more thoughtful approach to wild explorations. They also educate visitors on respecting the wilderness while vacationing, which I believe is crucial for protecting these national parks while boosting tourism revenue,” Joydeep adds.
